Abstract

The field of second language acquisition is defined as the field in which learner create his new linguistic system to learn a new language on it other than his mother tongue, which he speaks, and this learning is necessarily related to methods and strategies, and includes the elements of the language and its skill, in addition to understanding the method of its circulation, taking in that environment Social and cultural education, and this education may be organized within an integrated educational environment, including educational classes, a course and a teacher, educational activities, and so on, and then the second language teaching curriculum shows a measure of attention to learning and the learner and the method that enables him to use the new language system By mastering his educational skills. Knowing the basic issues of second language acquisition brings us to the basic idea that called for the implementation of this research, which is: What is the reality of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in light of the basic issues of second language acquisition? Two other questions are divided into this question:
– What are the key issues for second language acquisition?
– What are the prospects for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers?
The research follows the descriptive and analytical approach, and it is expected to arrive at results that confirm the need for Arabic to further deepen research on its basic issues.
